Why Reparations to African Americans
by Dwayne L. Cuffee
As the father of two children, Dwayne L. Cuffee has passed along the story his grandfather told him: They are the descendants of famed New England shipbuilder and captain Paul Cuffee.
Dwayne spent almost twenty-three years of his life in the United States Air Force, Air Force Reserve, and Coast Guard. He began collecting African-American memorabilia in 1978, when he acquired the Black Parents Hand Guide. As a child growing up in Hebron, Maryland, he says he doesn't recall much racism.
