White Sheets is a fictional account of a family’s history. The story centers on a young girl who is forced into adulthood at the early age of eleven as the result of a brutal rape that leads to a murder covered up by the whole family.
The young girl leaves home, and as she becomes of working age, she finds herself working in a house of ill-gotten means in White Sheets.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Born in Mississippi, Mae Basha, a circuit provision engineer by day and a talented writer by night, grew up in Santa Monica, California. As a young girl, she would write make-believe stories of her imagination. Mature early in life, beyond her age, she would isolate herself in thought while others her age would play.
Mae feels it is time to free her imagination and share it with the world in this, her first novel.
