Written by Alyn Marland, it is presented here by his youngest daughter, Katharine.
About the AuthorAlyn Marland was born in Victoria, Australia in 1917. He passed away in 1995, two years after completing this historical work.
Though he was not classically educated, he was of considerable intellect and inspired his youngest daughter, Katharine, to pursue a career in academia.
Alyn Marland met his wife, Katharine’s mother, during WWII while he was training in Alberta, Canada with the Royal Australian Air Force.
Katharine dedicates this work to the memory of her father and to her mother Joyce and to her husband, Major Shawn Carr (USMC).
Katharine and her husband currently live in Seattle, Washington with their three poodles.
