The Boy and the Wolf
is a story of a young boy who discovers a very special gift he possesses: understanding the language of animals. Billy runs away from home because he thinks he was the cause of his parents’ breakup and divorce. He wanders into the woods, where he gets lost, and winds up falling asleep when he stops to eat and rest. When he wakes up the next morning, he finds he is covered by leaves and his fruit has been eaten. Strangely enough, he is confronted by a wolf, who understands him, and that’s just the beginning of the story of The Boy and the Wolf.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Joseph Alily was born in Nigeria in 1965 to military parents. As the youngest of six children, his parents taught them to believe in a Creator. They were raised in the Catholic faith. After a string of unexpected events in his education, Alily found himself in America with a degree in fine arts. Coming to America was an eye-opening experience as he was not expected to cook, work, wash clothes, or clean a house in Nigeria. His cousins Chidi Nwigi and Isaac Chukumba were of great help to him, helping to acclimate him to life in America.

Meeting his wife was another life-changing experience of Alily. After his father passed away in 1995, he realized he had been emotionally asleep for most of his life. He realized there is a reason for everything and everyone. He encourages all people to be open to the same epiphany he experienced to realize why we are all here on this earth.
