by Elizabeth Adams

In this interracial love story, Braden comes from a family who hates people of color. Beth Ann is a child of an interracial marriage whose mother died during childbirth, and her father’s bitterness toward whites leads him to blame his wife’s family for her death.

Too young to understand their families’ hatred toward one another, Beth Ann and Braden’s friendship becomes close. Braden’s family’s hatred is so deep that it overpowers their love for their son, and they set Braden up for a crime he didn’t commit just to keep him away from an African American girl. She tries to get her father to intervene, but he falsely informs her that Braden died in a tragic prison fight. Both unaware of the truth, they have a hard time letting go of the past.

Join Elizabeth Adams as she takes on the twists and turns of the lives and love of Beth Ann and Braden.
